Book # 7
Indian Pipes - Red Pipes
Scheduled to be printed before 2008. This book features historic
American Indian Smoking pipes. Many of these historic pipes were
made from Catlinite from the famous mine in Minnesota, named
after George Catlin. These pipes and their decorated stems were
smoked by the Indians in ceremonies, rituals and for pleasure.
We cover a full Indian pipe spectrum from the first pre-historic
pipes up to and including early reservation pipes made from all
kinds of pipestone. This books will compliment the 'Pipe Bag'
book as many pipes were stored with or in the pipe bags that
housed the smoking material. This book follows our usual format
with many vintage photos of Indians with her pipes, quality captions,
informative text and many color picture photographs of the various
pipes themselves.
Book # 8

bowie knives will be presented geographically as to their makers
origin. Sheffield bowies will be shown and listed by historical

As published editor - Early American will publish and compile
a book on 'Schagel Knives' for the author and a top collector
of these knives. These custom made knives of the 1940's are highly
sought and collected at unusual high prices today. Our book will
tell all about the knives and other items that this maker, early
pioneer, of the modern knife, created. It will become ' must
own' for all modern knife makers and collectors.
