flintlock trade guns, thru percussion, single shot and repeating
rifles plus Indian highlighted pistols. There is a 22-page
chapter, featuring photo of Indians with all of the different
frontier Winchesters. The Spear section covers spear and DAG
blades and hafted spears. Primitive knife collectors should
note the updated DAG knife section. The Shield chapter is the
most comprehensive writing thus far created about shields.
Over 120 examples are illustrated by art type design. All types
from the earliest thru War, dance and reservation shields are
